Ange Postecoglou’s Hilarious Response to Post-Match Gesture

ANGE POSTECOGLOU gave a brilliant reply to the journalist asking him about giving away his jumper and tie at the end of Celtic’s tie against St Johnstone.

The bhoys won the game 4-1 to send the support home happy in time for Santa coming, but a couple of fans had extra cause to be delighted after the Celtic manager’s personal intervention.

The banner asking for a player’s top was on show when the Celtic manager realised all the players had walked off the pitch and the fan had no jersey, he decided to take matters into his own hands and hand over his famous jumper.

He then gave another fan a tie as a souvenir. Nothing major, but little touches like this go a long way with the supporters.

After the game, Ange told journalists via CelticTV he wanted to spread some Christmas cheer and made it clear the jumper and the tie was as much as he could do!

“The sign was for one of the players but they’d already gone past so I thought I’d spread some Christmas cheer. Our supporters are really important to us. You want people to be sitting around their Christmas tables with a smile on their face.”

“I thought I’d spread some Christmas cheer with my jumper and tie and I was stopping there as it wouldn’t have done anyone any favours after that”

The Hoops go into Christmas day nine points clear of second place. Winning every game since they came back from the World Cup break.

Next up for Ange and his team is Easter Road on the 28th, followed by a trip across the city to Ibrox. These two games could be vital in the grand scheme of things, so we hope the bhoys are having a peaceful but fun Christmas.
