The Scottish champions have shown the same characteristics in their play no matter the situation they find themselves in with the culture at the club being a huge part of the success experienced under Ange Postecoglou.

The Hoops found themselves being drawn level towards the end of the game in Perth but hit back with a response almost instantly to take all three points.

In contrast, the same mentality was still on show during Saturday’s 6-1 victory over Hibs with the Hoops looking to continually add to their goal tally on the day.

Games are presently coming thick and fast for Celtic with very little time being spent on the training pitch meaning that there must be strong beliefs in the structure which the manager wants to play football.

“Yeah it’s essential, I think people tend to focus when, a bit like I guess the St Johnstone game when we are scoring in the last minute to win the game,” said Ange Postecoglou speaking to Celtic TV.

“But that’s our attitude all the time and that’s why those things happen is because as you said, whether it’s 5-1 and we’re looking to get a sixth, like on the weekend, that mentality is there all the time.

“It starts with training. It starts with a culture and an environment we’ve created here. For me, that’s really important because you know, through the season, it can be a challenge in different ways. Home or away in the different competitions, and part of that resilience to overcome whatever challenges, that ability to keep going till the last minute.”

The mentality which exists is spread throughout the whole squad and as more players being to get more game time under their belts, the strength and depth of the squad will begin to increasingly show.

Postecoglou will be hoping that by the time the break comes round, his team remain at the top of the SPFL Premiership and has booked a place in the semi-final of the Premier Sports Cup next year.

There is still the outside chance of qualifying for European football after Christmas which will need a strong belief from the players in the final two group stage matches against Shakhtar Donetsk and Real Madrid.
