Ange Postecoglou Set for Bumper New Celtic Contract

Reports on Thursday evening have confirmed Celtic have opened talks with manager Ange Postecoglou on a bumper new contract after he delivered the league title on Wednesday night.

The Australian came in under the same rolling 12 month contract as most precious Celtic managers have since the 2000s. That deal means that every day Ange wakes up he has 12 months left on his Celtic deal.

RecordSport report the club now want to tie him down for longer. The only logical reason for doing so is to put off potential suitors or at least get a large compensation package should the manager leave for another club.

Ange has been an incredible breath of fresh air at Celtic and has brought the fans and the club together 12 months after there looked to be long lasting damage to the relationship.

The Australian’s stock is high and as Celtic get set for their Champions League adventure next season, having the big man on a longer deal will be a great boost for the support.
