Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou responded warmly to the banner which was unveiled in tribute to him during his 100th game in charge at the club.
It looked as though Hearts were going to spoil the celebration after Josh Ginnelly gave his side the lead after just six minutes but the league leaders replied through Daizen Maeda 20 minutes. later.
The performance certainly wasn’t the best football that’s been played under Postecoglou but he was keen to emphasise that he wouldn’t be too harsh on the players after the performance as some hadn’t played in a long time.
Heading into the match when the Celtic boss was asked about his 100th game in charge he joked that it would have been pretty long odds on him reaching it.
Postecoglou has transformed and revolutionised the football club since his arrival just over 20 months ago.
He was given a warm reception as always by the Hoops support as the crowd chanted his name after the Green Brigade unveiled a banner that read, ‘Gone by Christmas? Here’s to 100 more’ which was just perfect [Read more here].

Following the match, the gaffer was asked about the banner which was again held up as his side took their usual lap of honour around the stadium at full time.
âI appreciate the support I’ve had from the fans since the day I arrived. I havenât felt anything but support, even when it wasnât that evident what we were doing. They got behind me and the team and that has never been lost on me. I want to repay that and I try to do that on a daily basis,” he told CeltsAreHere.
His Celtic side continues to deliver and will now be focused on the next game on Saturday at Tynecastle in the Scottish Cup.
Many felt disconnected from the club during the pandemic as they couldn’t get along to the stadium to watch the Hoops. He has never taken the backing of the fans for granted and created and special bond between himself and them.
