Ange Postecoglou has reflected on a successful pre-season camp.
The manager was pleased with the hard work the players had put in on the training pitch, with the team often training hard twice a day. Postecoglou was also able to give his players some minutes on the pitch, allowing them to up their fitness levels or get used to their new surroundings.
The performances on the pitch would also please the manager, despite the few clumsy mistakes. There were nineteen goals over the three games, fourteen of which were scored by Celtic. The high goal scoring really epitomises Angeball.
Reflecting on the ten days, the Celtic boss said; [Celtic TV]
“It’s been good. The key thing is, we got some good training into the guys and most of the guys have got some decent match minutes and we’ve got no significant injuries. From that point of view, it’s been a really good camp.
“For the players in general, they’ve come back in they’ve had a good attitude and environment. The dressing room certainly feels as if it’s got a lot of energy which is great.”
Hard Work Returns to Glasgow for Postecoglou’s Celtic
The manager will now ensure that the hard work doesn’t stop in Austria, with two friendlies to play at home, and a testimonial match to play in Poland, Postecoglou will be working his team even harder with there being just over two weeks before the season kick-off against Aberdeen on Sunday 31st July at Celtic Park.
