Ange Postecoglou is keeping both feet on the ground after a top performance from his side on Sunday against Dundee.
Celtic surprised many people in Scottish football by putting on an outstanding display in their first home game of the season – smashing six goals past the away side and in all honesty it should’ve been more.
It’s gave fans renewed hope we can do something this season after a poor start in Europe and away at Tynecastle.

However, the manager is making it clear the team is nowhere where it needs to be at this moment in time and is tempering short term expectations.
With a new side, under a new manager, the bhoys are likely to have highs and lows as the season goes on before real consistency is found. Ange has been in the game long enough not to get carried away after a bad defeat or a big win.
Speaking to RecordSport Postecoglou said: “Look, I didn’t buy into it too much in the first couple of weeks when things were not going that well.
“I’m not getting carried away now. We have still got a long, long way to go.
“We have to play this kind of football on a consistent basis.
“We’re not going to win 6-0 every week. It might be 1-0 but we want to show that level of intent in every game.
“We have done that in previous games but only for certain parts.
“In both Midtjylland games, the Hearts game, and again last midweek, we did it in bits.
“For us to be the team I want us to be, we need to do it consistently for 90 minutes and over a series of games.
“We’re nowhere near it yet.”
It’s great to see the manager demanding high standards and not resting on his laurels.
Celtic had such a poor season last term but with the new signings brought to the club already, we’re starting to see a difference. The club are still to bring in players for vital positions and with a Glasgow Derby looming at the end of this month – it’s imperative those signings are made.
