SPURS had the first chance to implement Ange Postecoglou’s style during a match on Tuesday morning, lining up against David Moyes’ West Ham in Australia.

The Hammers already had some minutes in their legs, which was clear throughout the match, with Spurs looking rather rusty at times.
After conceding two goals from set pieces in the first half, Ange Postecoglou rotated the full side at halftime, looking to see if he could get a reaction.
Two goals in quick concession brought them back into the match, but West Ham went up the other end of the pitch and put themselves back into the lead.
Plenty of positives to take after an exciting pre-season clash in Perth. pic.twitter.com/Y0ksUeL3MT

Watching Spurs was quite like watching Celtic in the Champions League last season; they created many chances and played quite well for the most part, but they couldn’t walk away with anything to show for it.
The match was played at a high intensity and was very entertaining. There are definitely positives for Spurs, but, like at Celtic, it will take time for Postecoglou’s style of play to bear fruit. Early signs suggest that Ange Postecoglou may just be the man to bring success to Tottenham.
