This comes at a time when Postecoglou himself faces a challenging period at Spurs, particularly after a controversial week where some Spurs fans hoped for a defeat against Manchester City to thwart Arsenal’s title chances, despite it impacting their own Champions League aspirations.

Celtic secured their third consecutive title with a dominant 5-0 win against Kilmarnock on Wednesday night, a victory that was followed by jubilant celebrations at Celtic Park, attended by thousands of fans. The festivities are set to continue into Saturday, with a trophy day and further celebrations planned in the merchant city.

Reacting to Celtic’s triumph, Postecoglou said to Sky Sports, “I love it, brilliant. Great people, great manager, great staff, great footballers and an unbelievable club.

“I watched the game, I know how they felt at the final whistle then going back to Celtic Park late at night. It’s a special place.

“Credit to them, it was a difficult year for Brendan and the guys, but when it mattered and when it counted, they stood up and I couldn’t be happier for everyone there.”

Ange Postecoglou won two league titles in his two years in Glasgow, a magnificent achievement when you look at the position that Celtic were in when he took over in 2021. He’s now in the Premier League, trying to get Spurs into a winning position.
