Ange Postecoglou Brilliantly Refuses to Deliver Beale Rebuttal

ANGE POSTECOGLOU refused to be drawn on a question about the Ibrox squad during his pre-match press conference at Hampden on Tuesday.

Ange was there to talk about his team and the upcoming final. The Celtic manager fielded many questions about the pitch, the fans and the overall demeanour of the squad going into the game.

However, when he was asked to offer a rebuttal to Beale’s statement that both Celtic and Rangers are in a better place since they met back in January, Ange was clear he could only comment on his team.

Unlike the other side of the city, Ange isn’t interested in looking over the fence. He knows if he preps his team well and they play to their potential, then they’re going to be in a good place.

Ange commented via Celtic Youtube: “Mate, I can only talk about us.

“We certainly feel like since the break we’ve been stronger,” he added. “We had a strong first half of the year to be fair, but we’ve consistently improved over recent weeks. We’ve got a stronger squad.

“We added some players in January who have helped us not just in terms of matches, but in terms of training. The level of quality of training has been raised and we haven’t had a midweek game for two or three weeks now which has helped us as well. I just think our performances have got stronger since the mid-season break.”

Celtic are looking to pick up their first silverware of the season at the expense of their Glasgow rivals. Cup Finals can throw up all sorts of moments that can swing games in either direction

Celtic were by far second best the last time these two teams met in the League Cup final, but the bhoys would win the game 1-0 with ten men.

It’s going to be an exciting match, and we’re looking forward to getting to Hampden and watching the day unfold.
