Ange Postecoglou Breakthrough Star Makes Loan Exit as Duo Head to Austria

Celtic’s young talents, Matthew Anderson and Ben Summers, are set to spend the season on loan at Austrian second-tier club Admira Wacker, as the partnership between the two clubs bears fruit this summer.

Anderson, a left-back, is no stranger to Admira, returning after a successful loan stint last season where he impressed both the club and Celtic with his development.

Ben Summers, who has appeared twice for Celtic B in the Lowland League this season, will join Anderson at Admira.

The young midfielder made his first-team breakthrough under former Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou and spent the previous season on loan at Dunfermline, where he was a regular starter, contributing a few goals and assists.

Towards the end of Ange Postecoglou’s spell at Celtic, the young midfielder was on the fringes. He got a few appearances from the bench and was involved in a couple more matchday squads.

Celtic were dealing with injuries at the time, with Mooy and Iwata both out. After impressing with the B Team and training with the senior side, Ange Posteclgou was keen to give the player the opportunity.

His coaches in the B Team have also been full of praise for youngster, and is highly rated by some in and around the younger sides.
