Ange Making Good on Celtic Fan Promise

Celtic are 12 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership with six games to go and within touching distance of the title.

Ange Postecoglou’s men have enjoyed a phenomenal campaign which has been full of goals, entertainment and free flowing, attacking football.

All that needs to be clinched to complete a masterful campaign for the Hoops now is the treble and they will be extremely close to doing that should they win next weekend’s semi final against Rangers.

At this stage last season, the Bhoys had just defeated their Glasgow rivals to take a giant leap not towards a treble, but to the title.

On match day 32 of the 2021/22 Scottish Premiership season, the Bhoys had just travelled to Ibrox and came away with a palatial three points.

An early setback was suffered courtesy of Aaron Ramsey’s strike however derby specialist Tom Rogic soon got the Bhoys level.

Then, Cameron Carter-Vickers rattled home just before half time to put Celtic in front.

Carter-Vickers Glasgow Derby

Postecoglou’s men magnificently held out in the second 45 and sealed a colossal 2-1 victory, their first at Ibrox in what was at the time around three years.

The victory took the Bhoys six clear at the top of the league with six games left to play.

This is the stage the Premiership campaign is at we speak therefore the improvements within a year are drastic.

Compared to this time last season, Celtic have double their lead at the summit of the Premiership, a testament to the immense progress Postecoglou’s men have made over the past 12 months.

Moreover, this information backs up Ange’s claim at the end of last season that his side will come back bigger and better. We Never Stop indeed.
