CELTIC had to work hard for their win against St Johnstone in Perth on Sunday, but still managed to create some quality passages of play.

The pitch was extremely poor, you could see the ball bobble along it and have some awkward movements, but the players stuck at it, creating openings for themselves.
The match didn’t ooze quality and admittedly wasn’t the best spectacle, with Celtic only registering just four shots on target. You could look at that is a positive light too, with Celtic clinical and scoring four goals.
Speaking to BBC Sportscene after the match, the Celtic manager was pleased his side’s hard work, particularly in the second half. He said:
“Credit to the lads. I thought some of our movement, some of our ball movement, was first class.
“It just goes to show, you can look at a situation like today and think that we have to change the way that we play but we can still do the hard bits you need to do in football and work hard and compete but it doesn’t stop you from playing football”
Celtic didn’t put on the prettiest display, but nonetheless, they left Perth with all three points and maintained their none goal lead at the top of the table. They now have a 25-goal lead, which effectively adds a point to their lead.
