Ange Delivers Fresh One Liner to Scottish Media

ANGE POSTECOGLOU has delivered another brilliant one-liner ahead of the Ross County match.

Celtic striker Kyogo has been injured since Boxing Day, although he was carrying an injury before this. The Japanese internationalist was a bright spark throughout the start of Celtic’s season; he was on fire.

Luckily for Celtic, his absence hasn’t had too much of an impact, with Giakoumakis hitting top form and the arrival of fellow countryman Daizen Maeda, whose playstyle is very similar to Kyogo’s.

Speaking to the Herald, Postecoglou made a brilliant remark when asked about Kyogo’s absence;

“He’s been injured mate, he wasn’t kidnapped!

“He’s been here every day, he’s fine, he’s working towards [coming back]. I don’t want to put timelines on it but you look at Davie Turnbull, he was injured three or four weeks before and they are running similar sort of rehabs.

“[Kyogo is] working hard and doing well. Hopefully he’ll be back soon.

“The international break gives him a chance to do some more work as well.”

Kyogo’s return will boost the team’s chances of winning the league, especially if he finds the form he previously had.

However, Celtic have shown they aren’t overly reliant on their talisman. They have managed to continue their good run of form and now find themselves at the top of the league.

With David Turnbull also returning from his long-term injury, Ange has some tough team selection decisions to make in the coming weeks. Hopefully, this will be reflected on our bench.

Many times this season, we have had a weak bench, but with our full squad fit, hopefully, we can have a dugout stacked with quality.
