Ange Confirms Celtic Summer Talks Scheduled

ANGE POSTECOGLOU has revealed he will wait until the summer before he decides the fate of Celtic loanee Liam Scales.

The Irishman has spent the season out on loan at Aberdeen. It’s been a season of two halves for the defender, who was part of the side that got Jim Goodwin the sack, but Liam was very much part of the resurgence under former Celtic midfielder Barry Robson.

Speaking about Liam’s situation, the Celtic manager says he’s not in a hurry to look at things until this season is wrapped up:

“We’ll wait until the summer” the Celtic manager told Football Scotland. “It’s good to see Liam doing so well at Aberdeen. When you put guys out on loan you hope they get good experience and make an impact. Liam has done that and I know Barry Robson and the club have been really happy with him.

“Those decisions will be made at the end of the year. We’ll see what’s best for him and the club. The guys will all need some sort of clarity moving forward. We will look at them all on an individual basis. We’ll get to that when the time is right.”

Celtic’s season isn’t over with the small matter of a Scottish Cup final where they could land a treble on the horizon.

The bhoys are up against Inverness in the final. If Ange managed to get the cup over the line, he’ll join managers like Jock Stein, Martin O’Neill, Brendan Rodgers and Neil Lennon in the treble club.

The bhoys can also make history by becoming the first club in the world to win eight trebles in their history.

Liam will have watched Celtic’s progress this season from afar and will hope Ange sees him at the club beyond the summer. right now, the jury is out.
