‘Andrew Dallas Wants to Give the Penalty’; Sky Sports Pundit Irate Over Celtic VAR Decision

ANDY WALKER has gone in hard on VAR and the application of the hand ball rule after Celtic were penalised within the first five minutes in Paisley on Sunday.

The bhoys went behind in the early SPFL kick off when VAR took two minutes to pull the game back and have a look at the potential hand ball from Greg Taylor.

The rule has been applied differently almost every game, Celtic penalised quite often by the rule and VAR while others seemingly get the rub of the green.

Taylor’s hand was out and by the way referees have went on this season, a hand ball decision was inevitable. But Andy Walker is miffed where Greg Taylor was supposed to have his hand in the situation he found himself.

Speaking on the live broadcast of Sky Sports, Walker was irate and took a swing at VAR official Andrew Dallas: “Where is Greg Taylors hand supposed to go?

“The referee is in a great position to see the incident, he doesn’t give it.

“Andrew Dallas wants to give the penalty and I have no idea why.”

Celtic went in at the break one goal down. A sterling second half performance would see them win the game 5 goals to one.

The win puts the title on the horizon for the bhoys who are nine points clear with a superior goal difference.

VAR was again the talking point for the wrong reasons. We need officials who can use common sense.
