Reports emerged yesterday stating that Celtic had sealed the signing of striker Kasper Dolberg, but these were later branded premature, with Celtic and Anderlecht still apart in their valuations.
But now, developments in Belgium suggest that Anderlecht are planning for life without their number nine. While no official agreement has been announced, the Belgian club’s transfer activity is starting to paint a clear picture.
Anderlecht have reportedly submitted a bid for Genoa striker Vitinha, a move that could be interpreted as a direct response to the potential loss of Dolberg.

The 27-year-old Denmark international has been high on Celtic’s list, and with talks progressing, it seems the Belgian giants are wasting no time in lining up a replacement.
Although Celtic’s offer is believed to be in the region of £8 million, reports indicate that Anderlecht are holding out for a higher fee. With Dolberg’s personal terms also still under discussion, the move isn’t done yet, but it’s very much alive.
Further complicating the forward department is the uncertain status of Luis Vázquez. The Argentine striker has expressed a desire to leave this summer after struggling for minutes, and though he has featured sparingly, his exit is not yet guaranteed. If he too departs, Anderlecht will face a significant reshuffle up front, which could in turn complicate the Dolberg deal.
The pieces are moving quickly, and Anderlecht’s activity suggests they’re preparing for an imminent exit. All eyes now turn to Celtic to see if they can get the deal over the line before Monday’s deadline.
