CELTIC went crashing out to Midtjylland on Wednesday night after initially taking the lead against the home side.
Ange Postecoglou’s side squandered a great chance to go two goals up in the tie and about 30 seconds later the equaliser came.
It was an energy zapping night for the team who are running on fumes.
The boards failure to prepare for this game since January onwards has been our undoing.
So many Celtic fans resigned themselves to the Hoops going out against the Danish side because of the lack of investment early on in pre-season.
The bhoys who were put onto the pitch did their best – our backline was very young and inexperienced.
Anthony Ralston is our only recognised right-back at the moment and has taken a lot of flak for being in the team.
However last night, while his talent is limited he put in a performance worthy of praise from the Celtic support.
The defender was up and down the field, blocking and crossing, trying to make things happen and ran himself into the ground. For a guy who’s not had much first team football at all, he can hold his head up high.
These fans and many more agree.

Wee Ralston our best player tonight after all the flak he's got? I'd say so.

I've been one of his biggest critics & think we can all agree Ralston isn't gd enough & should be nowhere near a Celtic team. But that's on the board not Ralston. Canny deny the bhoy tried his heart out lastnight. If only some of the rest of them put in the effort Ralston did.
