‘All about himself’, ‘Looks Bored’ – Some Celtic Fans Don’t Deserve Nice Things

The Odsonne Edouard debate has raged on into the evening after the player grabbed the winning goal against Aberdeen.

There’s no doubt what a talent the striker is on his day but some fans are seeing a different side to the Frenchman this season and they’re not overly enamoured.

Using the example at the end of the game where he failed to lay it off to Soro for a certain second goal, many have made the claim Eddy is out for himself this season and it’s not been about the team.

It took the striker a while to get going but he remains our top scorer and can be a game changer on his day. No, we haven’t seen it enough but is the selfish passage of play at the end of Saturday’s game warrant a social media assassination?

Here’s some of the dissenting voices we’ve seen this evening:

Edouard is at the end of his Celtic cycle to coin a phrase from former Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers. The frontman will get a move in the summer and bring the curtain down on his trophy laden Celtic career.

I think, on the whole, we’ll look back at the Frenchman’s time at the club and ultimately be in awe of the sort of player we had.

The sniping we’re seeing right now will be quickly forgotten.
