Celtic star Alistair Johnston struck up a friendship with former Celtic player during their time at Montreal FC together.
They now have a long distance friendship as Victor watches his friend pull on the hoops like he did many years ago.
Celtic fans have always had a soft spot for Wanyama and up until a few years ago, not a transfer window went by without rumours of a potential return to Celtic were floated.
Nowadays, many fans who watched Victor play for Celtic reminisce about some of his robust performances and his goal against Barcelona that set Celtic on a path for a famous victory on our 125th birthday.
There is a lot of back and forth between Vic and Alistair over the piece, this week though, Wanyama has Johnston spewing over his choice of basketball shirt.
Johnston replied to the post on Instagram with the words: “Bucks Jersey” and a ‘spewing’ emoji.”
The Celtic right back is a big fan of the Toronto Raptors and follows them throughout the NBA season.
Alistair is also a big hockey fan and played it as a youngster in Canada. The defender has credited his fiery onfield demeanour on his time on the rink.
AJ really needs to get Victor over to Celtic Park at some point in the near future.
