ALISTAIR JOHNSTON made his Celtic debut at Ibrox on Monday, replacing Mooy while Hatate moved into his natural position in midfield.

The Canadian was only granted international clearance the day before his debut, despite signing for Celtic in December. He’d been training with the bhoys, so he was fit and ready to head straight into the starting eleven.
Taking to Twitter, Alistair Johnston tweeted about his “baptism of fire”:
Baptism of fire. Wouldn’t want it any other way.

He didn’t look out of place in the slightest. You could see an aggressive side shine through in the player, who didn’t shy away from a few tackles. He was composed on the ball too, making some great decisions.
He’s only going to get better the more he plays, and will look to impress Postecoglou in training this week to get his second start against Kilmarnock at the weekend.
Kobayashi, another of Celtic’s December signings, was on the bench for the Hoops, but has to wait a little bit longer for his debut.
