Celtic right-back Alistair Johnston was withdrawn through injury in the Hoops’ trip to Easter Road on Saturday. The ball was fiercely lashed off the head of the Canadian internationalist who immediately dropped to the ground.
He tried to carry on but on the 26th minute, he went down again and had to be brought off. At the time, many feared about the condition of the 25-year-old but it has now been reported by the Daily Record that he should be fine for Wednesday evening’s visit of St. Mirren to Parkhead.

It is said that Johnston was taken off as a precaution and that Celtic’s medical staff do not believe he suffered a concussion that would rule him out of midweek.
Anthony Ralston is a more than dependable deputy, but it is fair to say Brendan Rodgers and the majority of the Parkhead faithful would rather see the former Montreal man in at right-back than the Scotland international.
