Celtic loanee Alexandro Bernabei has recently made a couple of rare appearances for Internacional.

The 23-year-old Argentine left-back played in the second half of Internacional’s draw with Rosario Central midweek and was on the field for the entire match during their 1-1 draw with Bahia. Remarkably, these appearances marked his first time on the pitch since his debut in April.

Initially heading to Internacional on loan in March, Bernabei’s adaptation to the Brazilian Serie A has not gone as planned. With the season extending until December, his lack of playing time has been notable, and it is now prompting discussions about his future at the club.

Due to a clause in his loan agreement that allows for an early exit, Bernabei might return to Argentina sooner than expected. Independiente has shown interest, potentially offering him a pathway back to his home country.

It’s unlikely that he’ll ever make it at Celtic.
