The 20-year-old also recognises that the opportunity to start wasn’t guaranteed, and he has approached each match intending to make a mark. “It has given me the opportunity to come into the team,” he said.
“I’ve tried to take my chance and give the best I can. Whether I stay there is not my decision; I’m just trying to do everything I can in every game and training session.”
Valle’s mature approach and strong performances have given manager Brendan Rodgers a decision to make, as Taylor’s return raises questions about who will secure the left-back spot going forward.
