Former Celtic defender Alan Stubbs has discussed how he feels the Hoops will fare on Sunday in the Premier Sports Cup Final.
Stubbs, who is no stranger to success against Rangers in a cup final, having masterminded a 3-2 victory over the Rangers in the 2016 Scottish Cup Final.
He said: (BBC Sport), “There’s no bias to this, but I can only see in terms of the form that Celtic are in, a Celtic victory.
“I think Rangers will be competitive, but Celtic’s quality will be too much for them. I think we’ve already seen it – Rangers have not really got any consistency to their performances.
“They’re still finding what’s the right way, the manager’s still finding what players he wants to go to.
“I actually think Rangers as a club are trying to find out what’s the right direction, whereas Celtic are just steamrolling ahead and they’ve got far too much.
“Aberdeen have done very well this season, but in terms of the Old Firm, the gap between the two of them, I can only see one outcome really.
“I just think Celtic will be too strong and if they score early, then it could be by a couple.”
Stubbs’ analysis is certainly as fair as you would expect.
Celtic have been the best side in Scotland so far this season, with the Rangers trailing behind.
Cup finals are one-offs, and form goes out the window. However, under Brendan Rodgers, the Hoops have at times reached new heights this season, with victories over RB Leipzig in the Champions League and Aberdeen at Hampden, performances as good as supporters have seen over the last decade.

If Celtic can reach these levels on Sunday, Philippe Clement’s side will stand no chance.
However, in recent games, performances haven’t quite been at that level, and that’s what makes the final on Sunday so interesting, what Celtic will turn up, because usually, when it matters most, they turn up in style.
