It was earlier today Pete O’Rourke claimed Celtic were in talks with out of contract winger Kyle Edwards after the player was released from West Brom.
The report comes as Celtic look for a viable replacement for Moi Elyounoussi who has left the club after two years to return to parent club Southampton.
Well placed journalist Alan Nixon has put some more meat on the bone when it comes to this story and claimed Celtic were interested in the winger back in January.

This is further indication the Celtic scouts are driving the agenda at Celtic right now with Ange Postecoglou obviously having the final say on any signings coming in.
We’ve not really had any firm rumours or reports on signings coming in that the manager has specifically sought out. It’s still early days in the window, so there is time for that to change.
Edwards, 23, was played only 8 times by WBA last season and was surplus to requirements. The former England youth international is looking to revive his career, could he do that at Celtic?
