Midlands football reporter John Percy who writes for the Daily and Sunday Telegraph has confirmed this Thursday afternoon Kristoffer Ajer is about to become Brentford’s record signing.
The Norweigan defender has been looking to move on this summer but the club have been playing hard ball over a transfer fee. It would have appeared to work as Percy claims Celtic are about to get £13.5m for a player out of contract in just a years time.
Ajer has come through to be a top defender at Celtic. He came in as a 17-year-old with a lot to learn and quickly set about getting into the swing of things. His loan move to Kilmarnock a few years ago was pivotal to his development.

The Norweigan has been a great player for the club but we always knew this day was coming.
Celtic fans will say the defender could play at a larger club straight off the bat. Brentford will give him a platform in the EPL and he will likely show his worth from there to a larger audience.
We wish him all the best if the deal does go through.
