Adam Idah’s absence from Norwich’s pre-season match in Austria has been explained by his manager.

Johannes Hoff Thorup confirmed that the striker is facing internal discipline, nothing to do with an impending transfer.
This decision comes after Idah failed to join the team for their flight to Austria, leading to his absence from today’s game.

Thorup’s confirmation dispels earlier speculation that Idah’s absence might be related to a potential transfer to Celtic. Instead, it is a disciplinary issue within the club.
Celtic has shown a keen interest in bringing Idah back after a successful loan spell, but as of now, there has been no positive movement.
It’s almost a month ago that Celtic had an initial £4 million bid for Adam Idah chucked out, and there haven’t been any reports of another approach.
As it stands, Celtic are starting the league season with just one striker, after Heyongyu Oh departed the club this summer.
