Adam Idah has taken to Instagram to celebrate Celtic’s 4-0 Boxing Day triumph over Motherwell.
The Republic or Ireland striker shared a simple but uplifting post: “W! Happy Christmas all.”

While the win was a perfect way for Celtic to bounce back from a frustrating draw at Dundee United, questions remain about the Irish striker’s ability to secure a consistent starting role under Brendan Rodgers.
Idah was given the nod to start against Motherwell, but his performance drew mixed reviews, with BBC pundit Pat Bonner noting that Rodgers appeared unimpressed at one point during the match.
Despite his efforts, Idah failed to find the back of the net, with his display lacking the clinical edge needed to stake a claim for more regular starts ahead of Kyogo Furuhashi.
The victory over Motherwell saw Celtic dominate proceedings, particularly in the second half when they added three goals to their first-half opener. Arne Engels broke the deadlock just before halftime with a calm penalty, followed by goals from Daizen Maeda, Nicolas Kuhn, and Reo Hatate.
Celtic’s Boxing Day victory marked a return to form and results elsewhere saw them open a 12-point lead at the top of the Premiership table.
With the New Year derby against Rangers looming, Rodgers will be pleased with the team’s overall performance, though he’ll undoubtedly be looking for improvements.
