Adam Idah has shared his thoughts on Celtic’s Champions League campaign, expressing pride in what the team achieved despite their heartbreaking exit in Munich.
Taking to social media on Wednesday night, the Irish striker wrote:
“So proud of our Champions League campaign this season. We’ve had some unbelievable moments as a team & really pushed on. Wasn’t meant to be last night but we’ll grow from it & be back.”
A Memorable European Run
Celtic’s Champions League journey was filled with highs and lows, but there’s no denying they made a real impression on the competition this season.
The Hoops kicked off their campaign in style with a 5-1 win over Slovan Bratislava at Celtic Park. That was followed up by a stunning 3-1 victory over RB Leipzig, where Nicolas Kühn and Reo Hatate produced standout performances. Not to mention their defensive display in Italy against Atalanta.

Even in their last-16 battle with Bayern Munich, Celtic held their own. The Hoops came seconds away from forcing extra time at the Allianz Arena, only for Bayern to snatch a last-gasp equaliser to seal a 3-2 aggregate win.
A Team on the Rise
Idah’s comments reflect a Celtic side growing in confidence on the European stage. This campaign wasn’t just about making up the numbers—it was about proving they could compete with the best.
While the journey ends here, there’s no doubt Celtic will be back, and as Idah says, they’ll be even stronger next time.
