Adam Idah’s potential transfer to Celtic is edging closer following a productive weekend of negotiations between Celtic and Norwich City.
Football Scotland reports that the talks aimed to finalise the terms for making Idah’s move to Parkhead permanent, after his loan stint with the club last season.
The discussions are focused on a transfer fee likely to exceed £7 million. However, there has been no agreement between the two clubs yet.
Nonetheless, Celtic remains optimistic about securing Idah’s services permanently before the summer transfer window closes.
Adam Idah did make an appearance from the bench over the weekend and was jeered by fans again. On Sunday, Celtic watched on as Kyogo’s recurring shoulder issue resurfaced and Mikey Johnston led the line before he too got injured.
Celtic are in desperate need of another striker and will be keen to strike a deal and get the forward signed up in the coming days. Whether he’ll be in the door in time to feature on Sunday is something that we’ll need to wait and see.
