Callum McGregor will be over the moon to pen a new five-year contract today with his bhoyhood team. Nobody sounds more excited about the deal than Neil Lennon right now. The Celtic boss could not have complimented one of his midfield enforcers any more if he tried.
🗣️ NL: "He can now settle and keep writing history. He’s 26 and his best performances, I think, are yet to come and he’ll be hugely important for us tomorrow night."#UEL #LAZCEL

If Callum McGregors best performances are yet to come you better strap yourself in. Cal Mac has been a mainstay in the Celtic team for the last few seasons and the Scotland international has played a massive part in the trophy haul the Hoops have enjoyed.
McGregor is tipped to replace Brown when his time comes to hang up his boots and he has looked the part when asked to play in that holding midfield role. There were reports on transfer deadline day that Brendan Rodgers made an enquiry into the availability of McGregor but luckily he was told were to go.
Celtic face off against Lazio tomorrow night in Rome as they look to stay top of their group and secure European football in the new year.
