CELTIC said goodbye to him in the summer after just two appearances for the bhoys but Youssouf Mulumbu could be heading back to Scottish football with Aberdeen interested in bringing the former Celtic and Kilmarnock player in according to reports.
Mulumbu was signed under Brendan Rodgers as cover for Scott Brown when the midfielder was out with an injury early last season. However, Callum McGregor would drop into the role leaving Mulumbu with no chance of getting into the Celtic side. After just four months at the club he was loaned out to Kilmarnock where ha had played the previous season.
Mulumbu played 12 times for the Rugby Park side last season. The player had a two year contract with Celtic but was released after just one. The club and player coming to an agreement over the termination of the deal.
Since leaving the Parkhead club, the defensive-mid has not turned up at any other club as of yet and as we head towards Christmas, SunSport have reported Derek McInnes is seriously looking at bringing the player to Pittodrie.
After Aberdeen were steamrolled by Celtic on Sunday, the Dons are in need of some solid players.
