Celtic will return to Premier Sports Cup duty this week with a trip away to Fir Park in the quarter final with a place at Hampden up for grabs.
It is a welcome return for the Scottish champions to have a break away from Champions League football and get back into some sort of rhythm domestically.
Winning the League Cup was huge for the club last season as it marked the beginning of the Ange Postecoglou era at Celtic and installed greater belief in the team with it being many players first taste of silverware in the green and white hoops before going on to win the league title.
Winger Liel Abada has spoken about the importance of the competition as has urged his teammates to once again go all the way in the tournament.

The side also tasted defeat at Hampden last season in the Scottish Cup and will want to redeem themselves as quick as possible with the League Cup an opportunity to do so.
Ange Postecoglou’s side saw off Ross County comfortably in the previous round and will be hoping for a similar outcome on Wednesday evening with the ridiculous kick-off time of 6.15.
“This is really important because in the cup, if you lose, you don’t get to keep playing. We need to give 100 per cent and be 100 per cent focused to do our job,” as quoted by Football Scotland.
“Hopefully we will win and be in the next round because it is very important to keep the trophy.”
Having made alterations to the team at the weekend in the 6-1 annihilation of Hibs, there may be some further rotations going into this match.
The final will not take place before Christmas this year, but is still the first piece of silverware up for grabs that Celtic will be hoping to lift once again.
