Reports have suggested Eddie Howe is ‘confident‘ of signing the Scotland international, who has become increasingly frustrated with his lack of game time at Arsenal.
The Magpies are challenging for the Champions League spot, so Tierney could still be playing at the top level if he did opt for a move, and could potentially make a brief Celtic Park return. Newcastle currently sit fourth, three points ahead of Spurs, with a game in hand over the London club.
The Sun is claiming that the St James‘ Park club are ‘positive‘ about their bid to sign the 25–year–old and could be willing to pay around £30 million to take him away from the Emirates.
Celtic will be keeping a close eye on his situation, with the Daily Record reporting that the Hoops have a sell-on clause of 15%, which could see the Bhoys rake in an additional £4.5 million after he left Parkhead for £25 million a few years ago.
