IBROX MAN Kris Boyd believes that if The Rangers don’t win at Parkhead it will be “catastrophic” and would pile the pressure on Beale.

The Sky Sports pundit, who’ll likely be on TV at Celtic Park today, has admitted that if Celtic win today, he won’t have faith in his former club to stop the Hoops in their treble hunt.
The two sides meet in the semi-final of the Scottish Cup at the end of the month, and the whoever progresses to the final will be the clear favourite to win the competition, with Falkirk and Invernplaying in the other semi-final.
Boyd remembers the last two Glasgow Derbies when Celtic were not at their best, but the Rangers players failed to capitalise on the opportunity. He believes that if this happens for a third time, it would have a major impact on their confidence and pile the pressure on Beale, who is still searching for a win over Ange Postecoglou.
Boyd wrote in The Sun:
“WINNING at Parkhead won’t make a blind bit of difference in the title race for Rangers but losing could have a catastrophic effect on the rest of their season.
“It would heap an enormous amount of pressure on Michael Beale’s side heading into the Scottish Cup semi–final at the end of the month.
“And I’m not convinced they would be able to handle trying to stop Celtic winning the Treble.
“Rangers players have walked off the pitch in the last two derby games with plenty of regrets.
“They passed up a great opportunity to win at Ibrox when Kyogo Furuhashi got a late equaliser and then never turned up at Hampden in the Viaplay Cup final.
“On both occasions, Celtic weren’t near their best — but Beale’s men didn’t capitalise. If it happens for a third time then it would have a major impact on their confidence before the latest Cup meeting — which is a final in all but name.”
