Giorgos Giakoumakis confirmed his departure from Celtic, with a heartfelt post shared on Instagram on Wednesday night, before the club cold put a statement out.
The Greek forward, who had a remarkable spell at the club, netting 26 goals in 22 starts, expressed his gratitude for the time spent at the club with a video compilation of his best moments.
His now former teammates flocked to the comments to wish him all the best for the future.
Many stars responded, with new Bhoy Johnston jokingly reminding the striker to pack his suncream. Welsh, Ralston, Hart, Taylor, Siegrist, Abada, Montgomery, and Mikey Johnston were amongst the comments, with Juranovic also wishing GG well.

His departure is a bittersweet moment, as while it is not a surprise, it marks the end of a successful albeit short–lived relationship. Ange Postecoglou‘s light–hearted prediction last week seems to have come true, with Giakoumakis‘ departure announced through his Instagram first.
