CELTIC manager Ange Postecoglou has remained tight–lipped about the future of striker Giorgos Giakoumakis, who has been missing from the squad for the last three matches.

Reports had suggested that Urawa Red Diamonds had agreed on terms with the Greek striker and put the player through a medical, which he passed, while Atlanta United have recently re–emerged as contenders for Giakoumakis with an offer to pay a transfer fee instead of their initial offer of a loan, looking set to hijack the transfer.
When asked about the situation by Sky Sports, Postecoglou said:
“It’s still a bit of uncertainty around it. There’s a couple of things in play. It will all get resolved in the next couple of days and hopefully to the satisfaction of all parties.”
The J–League and MSL transfer windows both run until the spring, and the manager appears to have already moved on from Giakoumakis, with Oh Hyeongyu making a promising debut in the 10 minutes he was given at Tannadice.
