ANGE POSTECOGLOU has opened up on what he’s said to the players after Callum McGregor made his 400th appearance in the green and white hoops.

The manager has told the players to relish the opportunity to play alongside the Celtic captain, claiming he’ll go down in history as a club legend. Postecoglou also admits that the players know just how special he is.
The Celtic manager was full of praise for Callum, not only for his onfield work, but what he does in the changing room and how he leads the players. He said: [BBC Sportsound]
“I just said to the lads in there, they’ve got to appreciate they’re sharing a dressing room with a real special individual. He’ll obviously go down as a legend of this football club.
“The biggest compliment I can pay him, and what I said to the boys was, he plays every game as if it’s his debut. As if he’s got everything to prove. He scraps for everything, is involved in everything, even though he’s done it all in the game here in Scotland.
Ange continued by surprisingly revealing he’s never been in the Celtic Lennoxtown dressing room.
“The players see it themselves. They live and breathe it. They’re amongst it every day. Mainly by actions but in his words too. I still don’t know what our dressing room at Lennoxtown looks like, I don’t go in there, because that’s his domain.”
Callum McGregor has consistently been one of Celtic’s top performers. At 29, he still has a lot he can offer the team and will be looking to lead the club to many more titles as the captain.
He was the obvious replacement for Scott Brown for a reason, and he continues to show why he’s in the position he’s in every week.
