Adam Montgomery has returned to St Johnstone on loan for the remainder of the season after impressing during the first half of the campaign.

This move is beneficial for his development, however, the question remains whether there is a future for him at Celtic. He was a squad player throughout the first season under Ange, stepping up to the plate when needed.
Many will be watching his progress with great interest to see if he can make the grade as a Celtic player, but with Bernabei tying down the squad player role, and Greg Taylor the undoubted starter, it’ll be hard to burst into the team.
A full season will be great for Monty, getting the chance to play regularly at the top level.
