CHO GUE-SUNG’s transfer to Celtic is dragging on now, with weeks passing after reports confirmed that Celtic had launched a bid for the attacker.

They’ve managed to see off German side Mainz, with the Hoops out-pricing them, but MLS clubs and The Rangers are interested in the player. Celtic are in an extremely strong position, having submitted a bid of about £3 million.
Jeonbuk has sent Park Ji-Sung to London to handle negotiations as they concede the player is destined to leave this January.
However, the player’s agent has said that they’re holding back on negotiations, awaiting additional offers to be made to the World Cup star. While confirming Celtic’s interest, the agent said: [Daily Record]
“As is known, Celtic and Mainz showed high interest in Cho and even offered a transfer fee. American Major League Soccer clubs are also making calls, but Cho’s goal is Europe for now.
“We are also waiting for additional recruitment proposals.”
The player wants to be a club’s star striker and isn’t overly keen on playing second fiddle. But, he’s desperate for a move to Europe, which gives Celtic a big advantage.
Hopefully, a decision can be made soon, and this transfer saga can be a thing of the past. It’s rare for an Ange Postecogllu signing to drag on this much.
