Reports on Christmas Eve suggest Ange Postecoglou and Celtic are set for another J-League raid in January – turning their attention to Tomoki Iwata.
The 25-year-old midfielder was voted Yokohama Marino’s most valuable player for the season.
Celtic have had a lot of success in the Japanese market and as Ange looks to bolster his options, he doesn’t mind returning to his former club.
MailSport Claim Celtic have put Iwata at the top of their list of recruits after signing Yuki Kobayashi in November from Vissel Kobe.
When asked about transfers, Ange replied: ‘We are working on a few things,’
‘If, and when, they get done you’ll hear about them, but right now we are not sort-of close enough to really think we need to say anything but that may change soon.’
