Josip Juranovic Celtic Exit Preference – Report

It is being reported that Josip Juranovic would prefer a move to Serie A if he had the chance to pick [Daily Record].

In recent days, there was confirmation that Torino had made ‘contact’ with the Scottish champions about Juranovic although their valuation was well off the mark.

The defender has been attracting a lot of interest after his starring role for Croatia at the World Cup where he played every game for his national side.

Croatia will take on Morocco on Saturday in the third place play-off for the tournament while Juranovic’s teammates travel north to Pittodrie.

He has been a total standout and really caught the eye when the Croats took on tournament favourites Brazil in the quarter final where he was tipped as man of the match by many pundits.

Juranovic’s stock is continuing to rise and although Croatia were well beaten by Argentina in the semi final they gave a great account of themselves at the tournament once again which should benefit Celtic.

There has been interest in the fullback in recent weeks from Spanish sides Atletico Madrid and Barcelona but it is understood that Juranovic would prefer a move to Italy.

Celtic hold all the cards in this situation as the fullback is contracted to the club until 2026 meaning that a deal will be agreed on the Hoops terms more than anything.
