Italian Sky Sports correspondent Gianluca Di Marzio has got his report incredibly wrong when it comes to Celtic star Josip Juranovic.
The Italian journalist who describes himself as a ‘football transfer expert’ reported on Wednesday that Torino were interested in signing Celtic’s Croatian defender Josip Juranovic. A story, on the face of it, that could very well be true.
However, the journalist reports on his own site that Celtic are looking for only €6m for their World Cup star. The figure is nowhere near what the club value their star right-back.

Di Marzio is clearly not getting his information from anyone in Glasgow. It’s more likely he’s being fed the story by Torino or reps for the club who are executing the best case of wishful thinking we’ve witnessed in some time.
Josip is contracted until 2026, the defender it just off a World Cup run where he helped his country to the semi-final of the tournament, winning MOTM against Brazil on the way. Any club or ‘transfer expert’ who believe Celtic are happy to take €6m for the Croatian are wildly misinformed.
The Celtic defender is expected to move on in January. Ange Postecoglou has already signed a new right-back in anticipation. Alistair Johnston was signed to a five year deal earlier this month.
Given Josip will be given a break after his World Cup third place play-off at the weekend, he could’ve played his last game for the club if a deal is swiftly done in January. One thing’s for sure, the Scottish Champions will happily wait until the summer if €6m is all that’s offered.
