CELTIC are expecting their media rights to grow significantly in the 2024/25 season, with UEFA changing the format of the Champions League.
Peter Lawwell is one of the 24 executives that sit on the ECA board, so has been keeping a close eye on the proceedings.
Of course, to reap the benefits of this, the club will have to qualify for the competition.
Celtic are already receiving a great sum of money from the competition, close to £30 million this season. There will be added bonuses from sponsors and gate receipts.
Postecoglou will be looking for this money to be reinvested into the squad as looks forward to next season to continue building his squad to compete in the competition.
It’s set to be an exciting future for Celtic; extra money can only mean one thing – improvement on and off the pitch. The board will need to back the manager to ensure they’re in the position to collect this money that’s being dangled in front of them.
