CELTIC are set to listen to offers for midfielder James McCarthy in the January transfer window, with the player not making an impact on the side.
James joined the Hoops in Ange Postecgolou’s first transfer window, with fans adamant that it wasn’t the manager that gave the green light to the transfer. He arrived on a free and would add some experience to the Celtic side.
He hasn’t been able to cut it at Celtic, and it doesn’t look like he will. Football Insider claims that the club are looking to offload the player and will listen to offers for him in January.
He’s had a couple of appearances here and there for Celtic so far this season and did play a vital role in the lead-up to Celtic’s last-minute winner in Perth; however, it’s clear he doesn’t have a future at Celtic.
He doesn’t fit an Ange Postecoglou side, which is a shame because he is a talented footballer and has shown his quality in the Premier League.
