Celtic Star Stays Behind After Lennoxtown Training

Sead Haksabanovic has revealed he’s been staying behind to do extra training with coach Harry Kewell as he continues to get up to speed.

The summer signing has already made 12 appearances for the bhoys since making the move from Rubin Kazan, but he openly admits he’s not quite there fitness wise.

Sead’s elite attitude towards the game and his dedication to getting better is already evident. The midfielder has clearly saw the value in learning under Harry Kewell and hasn’t been satisfied with just taking on the normal training sessions.

Speaking to Celtic TV, the player revealed the extra sessions to get up to speed and improve:

“Hopefully soon I can get in 100 per cent with the team and how they play and how we play. I mean in terms of being new here. I am learning all about the players and everyone and how we play.

“The manager is very clear in what he wants from me. And I know I have his support otherwise I wouldn’t be here. I have been doing some extra work with Harry as well. They are all there for me and I am just very happy about that.

Ange is clearly a big fan of Haksabanovic. Despite the player not being 100%, he’s played in some pretty big games already. Jota being out injured has handed Hacksa a bit more time on the pitch than he may have got otherwise.

It’s great to hear Sead is determined to get better and learn from another top midfielder in Harry.

Hopefully he’s not the only one doing extra work on the training ground. Knowing this side, I don’t think he will be.
