JOHN BARNES has predicted that this season will go right until the very end, with the former Celtic manager admitting that the Hoops are favourites for the title.
Last season, it was the second last game before Celtic were officially champions. A draw at Dundee United was enough to see the Hoops regain their crown, although everyone knew after the win at Ibrox that the league was returning to Glasgow’s East End.
The Rangers were five points behind Celtic at one point, but with the Hoops losing in Paisley, the gap was reduced to two.

“Celtic are probably favourites.
“But from one season to the next, those teams are the best two teams in Scotland.
“Those two once again will go to the wire but I think Celtic will.”
Celtic are in a poor patch of form at the moment, but there are signs that suggest Postecoglou’s side will play their way out while still getting the points needed.
It’ll be interesting to see what happens in January, with Celtic already linked to transfer targets, with it assumed that the Hoops will look to strengthen.
