The Green Brigade showed solidarity with the RMT and strikers on Saturday afternoon, displaying a banner in the second half of the Motherwell game.
The banner read ‘enough is enough, up the workers’.
This is while strikes are happening across the UK on Saturday and rallies happening in Glasgow.
Celtic were born out of famine and oppression. There’s large swathes of the fan base who continue to fight for the working class and the vulnerable in our society.
In these hard times, we need to do all we can.
The supporters have a foodbank outside the ground at every home game and the Celtic foundation also help the poorest in our society.
The strikes will have inconvenienced many Celts on their way to and from the game against Motherwell but most realise there’s a bigger picture at play.
It was great to see the green brigade show their support. Their chanting about the Tories was an added bonus!
