FRASER FORSTER was back in Glasgow Saturday afternoon, and back in a place he knows very well as an opposition player.
The former Celtic goalkeeper rocked up to Ibrox today with his new club Tottenham and helped them to a 2-1 victory.
Fraser has come in as a backup for Hugo Lloris and was given the final 20 minutes of the friendly tie, where he managed to keep a clean sheet. Spurs went down 1-0 in the first half but thanks to two goals from Harry Kane, the London club left with the victory.
When coming onto the pitch, Fraser was met with a wall of boos from the home support, who were not about to let his major affiliation with Celtic slide.
Fraser has had many spells at Celtic, two on loan and one permanent deal that eventually saw the goalkeeper sold to Southampton. His final stint as a player came in Neil Lennon’s final full season. The big man was single-handedly responsible for winning the League Cup against The Rangers. That day in Hampden has to go down as one of the biggest and best performances from a Celtic goalkeeper who refused to allow the opposition to score – even when they were awarded a penalty.

That might just have been in the back of their minds when he came onto the park today.
