Ranked: Celtic’s Adidas Kits

ADIDAS have made some stunning shirts since they partnered with Celtic in the summer of 2020.

From home tops to third jerseys, even the training gear has been smart.

But here, we’ll solely focus on official tops and rank them from worst to best.

By no means was last season’s kit poor; it just wasn’t the best. The broken green above and below the hoops added something different to the home top, which can’t really change, but it wasn’t for me. Nice top overall, but I wasn’t a fan of the design, especially the short-sleeved jersey.

At the time, this was a nice kit. But the season was disastrous, and the top gives Celtic fans nightmares of what unfolded that season. The yellow around the shirt was similar to the new balance invincible treble jersey but not nearly as nice.

It was a nice, simple shirt, but it was too plain for my liking. There’s not much going on in the kit, just a base colour of green. Although, the badge is innovative, using the four-leaf clover was. a great pull for many. Overall, it was just a bit basic, and the badge pulled up the ratings.

The lime green top was smart. The colour was great, mixed with a darker green for some detail. It was just a well-rounded nice kit, almost faultless. The black socks really annoyed me, though!

The blacked-out kit with the neon green was ace. Again, the four-leaf clover badge was a smashing touch. It was a great kit that everyone loved. Although it was simple, it

This kit was simply beautiful and while many may disagree, I think it’s underrated as a Celtic jersey. The pink added a unique twist to a Celtic kit. In the past, when manufacturers have tried to experiment with different colours, it hasn’t always worked. But, here, Adidas pulled it out of the bag. It certainly splits opinion throughout the support, but the balance between the colours is perfect, not too much pink but enough for it to stand out. My only complaint is that the stripes don’t continue on the back.

Next season’s kit is simply magnificent. The take on the retro kit is brilliant. As someone who loves retro kits, it’s great to see this design being brought back to life. Again, similarly to the previous years, it would be even nicer if the stripes continued around the back but this could be a kit we remember for years.
